How does it taste?

I've just popped to the fridge to open one now so I can describe it to you real-time!

It opens with a standard psstch noise and a cloud of CO2 gently swirls out of the neck - things look good!

Slurp.

Hmm, Strangely enough it tastes like... er... lager. Its quite flavoursome - definitely quite hoppie/wheaty. Its not a pissy watery mexican style beer like Sol/Corona. Definitely more on the Bud/Red Stripe end of the spectrum. Almost European. There is definitely something unique about it...!

When poured the Blowfly appears smooth and clear but it's fizzy - very fizzy. It also tastes a little alcoholic though a squiz at the back label suggests its only 4.7% abv.



Overall its pretty standard tasting - nothing expectionally great nor bad. Im not sure I could drink a helluva a lot of the stuff in one sitting due to the fizziness - this tends to give it a slightly dull aftertaste - a bit like Heineken or Grolsch does. (N.B. I'm an Ale drinker usually so I always complain about fizzy beer!)
